Here at Memorial Baptist Church we believe that Christian baptism is, according to the Bible, an outward testimony of what has occurred inwardly in a believer’s life. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. For example, in Christian baptism, the action of being immersed in the water symbolizes dying and being buried with Christ. The action of coming out of the water pictures Christ’s resurrection (Romans 6:3-4).
We are delighted that you have taken an interest in the Believer’s Baptism Program here at MBC. Therefore, due to the religious significance of this occasion, we have developed guidelines to assist you in creating an atmosphere that reflects your wishes and also glorifies God. Infant Dedications
Congratulations!
It is exciting whenever a new child enters a family. Here at Memorial Baptist Church we believe that children are precious gifts from God that He entrust to the parents to love and raise the right way until they come of maturing age to make their own individual spiritual decisions.
We are delighted that you have taken an interest in the Infant Dedication Program here at MBC. We perform Infant Dedication Ceremonies because we believe that dedicating a child to God offers a great occasion where parents can publicly acknowledge God’s sovereignty over their lives, express their appreciation and gratitude to God for entrusting them with His gift of a child. Moreover, parents use the dedication ceremony to present their child before God and His people in order to ask for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. Parents also come praying that their child will one day choose to be baptized as a believer themselves. Therefore, because of the religious significance of this occasion, we have developed guidelines to assist you in creating an atmosphere that reflects your wishes and also glorifies God. Please contact the Church for more information.
Funerals
Pastor Del, ministerial staff, officers and the Memorial Baptist Church family join you in your grief in the death of your loved one. We offer you our deepest condolences. May you know the Lord’s comfort and may His love surround you during this time of loss.
